I've been pretty busy spending time with my family and friends who are home. Someone who I have been best friends with since age 6 recently got engaged, and today I went to spend some time with my grandmother. Other than that I've just been applying to jobs and doing really minor freelance design.

Digging these pictures from Anthropologie's July Catalog. They strongly remind me of Tom's room in 500 Days of Summer. I love how a mini chalkboard is used as a headboard in the first photo. The floor is a little intense though -- I'm not so sure how I feel about a hand-drawn rug.

...oh, and apparently chalkboard tables are next. DIY time, anyone?

The girl scout inside of me is cringing, but is also really intrigued. Apparently glamping is becoming a travel trend (Well, it has been since 2008, but I hadn't heard of it until today...):

Sasha Pivovarova's Artwork.

I have always loved the model, Sasha Pivovarova, but I did not know until recently that she is also a talented artist. Some of her work (particularly the third image I posted) reminds me of Gustav Klimt. Of the inspiration for her artwork Pivovarova says, "My drawings were inspired by the joy of seeing fairytale characters coming to life in one of the main theatres of Moscow, the city where I was born.” Wikipedia claims that she is working with Miuccia Prada to produce a book of her drawings -- I hope this is true!

Finally saw An Education this past weekend and was enamored with Carey Mulligan's style. She looked so elegant, and her outfits and hair reminded me of Anna Karina and Audrey Hepburn. I would love to incorporate a few dresses like hers into my wardrobe this spring.
